Amanda Arthurs
Enabler
Amanda’s career in care began in 2016 when she made the decision to follow her passion for supporting others. She initially worked in a private home, providing dedicated support to service users, gaining invaluable experience in personalised care.
Following the closure of that service in 2019, Amanda went on to support young people aged 16–18 who were transitioning out of the care system. In this role, she focused on fostering independence, encouraging community engagement, and helping them explore future employment opportunities.
Today, Amanda works as a self-employed carer in the community, a role she finds immensely rewarding. In June 2024, she joined Katie’s Kare LTD as an enabler, embracing the opportunity to make a positive difference in clients’ lives. She especially enjoys organising social activities and meeting clients for shared lunches with fellow enablers, valuing the relationships she builds and the care she provides.
